Updated Guidelines for F8 Photography Competition

It's just one week to go for the deadline to close for the F8 National Students' Photography Competition and Exhibition, an ancillary activity of First Frame 2013. On popular demand, here's some great news for all the budding student photographers out there who are willing to participate in the event:

You can now submit your photographs online (via email) without getting into the hassle of getting the prints and sending them by courier. Please check our F8 Photography Competition page for the updated guidelines and 'How to Participate?' details.

The theme is 'Emotion- One Thing You Can't Hide' and the deadline for receiving your photos via email alongwith the scanned copy of the Application Form and Bonafide Student Certificate is 11th of March 2013, Midnight (IST).

From all the photographs received, the best ones shall be selected by a specialised jury consisting of renowned photographers, which shall be put up as an exhibition during the two-day event at Sri Ram Centre, Mandi House, New Delhi.

Deadline Extension for International Entries

Good news for our international participants!

Considering the delay and in some cases non-delivery of the DVDs by post, we are extending the deadline for film submission to 8th of March 2013 for our international participants (only!)

We have also decided to accept solely 'online' entries from our international student filmmakers. What this means is the entire process of sending the DVDs and forms in hard copy by post can be avoided.

If you are a non-Indian student filmmaker and are willing to send in your film for First Frame 2013, this is what you need to do now:

1. Upload your film on Youtube in High Resolution (minimum 720p HD). The film must have English subtitles. The duration must not exceed 25 minutes.

2. Download the Application Form from this link (click here), fill it and include the Youtube link in it.

3. Download the Bonafide Student Certificate (click here), print it, get it filled by the concerned authority at your institute, scan the filled form.

4. Attach the Filled Application Form and Scanned copy of the Bonafide Student Certificate and email it to us latest by March 8th, 2013 Midnight (IST) at firstframe.info@gmail.com with the ‘Subject’: Entry for Film Festival.

Film Submission Deadline Extended!

Considering the overwhelming response and the many requests for extension of deadline for film submission received over the past few days, here is some good news for all the amateur filmmakers out there: 

The deadline for film submission for FIRST FRAME 2013 is now extended till Thursday, 28th February 2013

This gives you an extra week but there is no time to lose. Send in your films immediately and be a part of the league! Please make sure your courier reaches us on or before this date.

What is happening?
First Frame 2013- Fifth International Students' Film Festival
A festival by students, of students and for students.

1. First Frame Film Festival- A competition and exhibition of students' films from across the globe.
2. F8 Photography- A competition and exhibition of photographs clicked by students' across India.
